Lot 2

Aussie Sunset is inspired by Australian lands. The Indigenous people of Australia painted in the sand and also made paints from the land, like ochre clay. The colours and dots in this painting are similar to Aboriginal painting. I was inspired by their way of making a painting. I wanted to use light dots on dark colours and dark dots on light colours so they created a nice contrast and they would stand out. I really enjoyed doing the blending for the sun. I used copper and gold and blended them together.
